PLAYGROUND X REDEYE

For Token 2049 London, Playground joined forces with RED-EYE to launch a Metaversal Magazine. To celebrate the launch, we collaborated with London’s prolific fashion designer Jivomir Domoustchiev, the vintage store Dunno Curated, alongside 8 other London artists.

Showcasing the next generation of creators.

The launch of our zine was a collision between IRL & URL communities extending the value of human interaction and cultural exchange in a phygital and decentralised open environment. We invited 8 artists form multiple disciplines form around the world to showcase their work for our event IRL and in the Red Eye World immersive gallery.

  • Jivomir Domoustchiev: Fashion Designer

    Luxury Future Fashion Hand Crafted in London, now entering the Metaverse with his collection “Ghost Stories.”

  • Coral Garvey: Artist + Creative Director

    Coral’s collection “The Invisible Rules” are a dystopian tech noire drama exploring societal rules, brand worship, existentialism, with a traditional yet fresh lens.

  • Burst_: NFT Artist

    Burst_ is an abstract artist who’s themes surround laughter within himself and acts as a political statement. His work has been featured on SuperRare and collected by patrons all over the world.

  • Jennital: Digital Artist

    Jennnital is an innovative digital artist creating custom skins for high end fashion designers available in the Metaverse.

  • Jessica + Kane: Founders of Dr Death Cult Club

    Jessica and Kane opened the doors to our mystery School of Philosophy and Critical Art Theory School.The Order of the Redeemed enrollment is in a form of a 10K collection of NFTs. We had It featured in London and a metaverse week fashion show and New York digital fashion week.

  • Sara Giusto: Artsist + Digital Creator

    Experiments with digital and physical bodies, spaces, and the realms they exist in.

  • Minju Kim: Artist

    Drawing on personal experience and inspired by the human anatomy and psychoanalytic theory, Minju explores desires as her main subject matter, alongside the concept of life and death.

  • Mr. Tufa Kabiri

    Tufa is a photographer director focusing on fashion and culture, what he really wants to highlight is “trouble.’ Or different view points and snippets into people’s lives.

Party Recap:

The party was a massive success. Our zine launch event was streamed on Twitch via Spatial, and people from all over the world tuned in. We had two incredible London Dj’s Tobz and TJT spin tunes, and two up and coming London rappers YungSBK and Andre Masters.

From High Fashion avatars posing and dancing to the horizon in Red-Eye’s Spatial, with IRL & URL live performances, our zine experience collectively showcased the visions of creators by diving into a multiverse of art, fashion, and photography to the metaverse and back to London, by day and night.

Merch

Playground Studios created a one of a kind Phygital hoodie to wear in IRL and in ANY Metaverse. Working with the designers at Dunno Curated, The talented 3-d designer @Jennital brought it to life.
